Obzor (Bulgarian: Обзор [obˈzɔr]) is a seaside resort town on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It is part of the Nesebar Municipality of Burgas Province. Dating back to ancient times, Obzor has been known by several different names: Naulochos under the Thracians and Greeks, Templum Iovis under the Romans, and Gözeken under the Ottomans.

edit The Thracian and ancient Greek name of Obzor was Naulochos (Ναύλοχος). It was a small port on the coast of Thrace, a colony of Mesembria. The ancient Romans named it Templum Iovis (Temple of Jupiter); Pliny called it Tetranaulochus. During the Ottoman rule of Bulgaria, it was known as Gözeken.

Does Obzor-South have lifeguards?
Yes — Obzor-South is an officially guarded beach with seasonal lifeguards on duty during the bathing season (typically 1 June to 30 September). Always follow the lifeguards' instructions and the colour of the flag they fly.
Is Obzor-South a Blue Flag beach?
Obzor-South does not currently hold the Blue Flag award. This is purely a programme certification — it does not mean the beach is unsafe. Many excellent beaches are not enrolled in the programme.
What is the water quality at Obzor-South?
Water quality at Obzor-South is officially classified as **excellent** under the EU Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/EC, based on multi-year sampling by the European Environment Agency. Excellent is the highest of the four classifications.
